Anti-Skid Materials

The following products are recommended when cushioning and anti-slip properties are called for.  In addition to those listed here, other products may be available to suit your specific application.  All are available custom die cut to your specifications.  They are listed in order of increasing cost.

V710

7# Black vinyl foam w/adhesive backing.  This material is available .079” - 1” thick.  Custom colors are available with minimum quantity requirements.

V1510

15# Black vinyl foam w/adhesive backing.  This material is available 1/16” - 1/2” thick.  Custom colors are available with minimum quantity requirements.

CCN w/Pressure Sensitive Adhesive (PSA)

Black closed cell neoprene sponge w/adhesive backing.  This material is available 1/16” - 2 1/2” thick.

PEV

.030 thick high-density black vinyl with embossed surface and adhesive backing.  This material is available in other thicknesses and custom colors with minimum quantity requirements.

TEV

.045 thick high-density black vinyl with embossed surface and adhesive backing.  This material is available in other thicknesses and custom colors with minimum quantity requirements.

Tread Grip

15 mil Solid Vinyl with embossed surface and adhesive backing.  Standard colors are black & gray.  Custom colors are available with minimum quantity requirements.

CNR (CORK-N-RUBBER)

Available with adhesive backing, this material exhibits both anti-slip and cushioning properties at low cost.  This material readily is available 1/32” - 1/4” thick.

Sand-tac

Charcoal color grit surface with adhesive backing.  This product is frequently used outdoors where floor surfaces may become hazardous when wet, such as loading dock areas and marine applications.

Volextra

1/16” thick charcoal color cross-linked polyethylene foam with adhesive backing.  This product has a surface coating and texture designed to provide a very high coefficient of friction.  This product is commonly used on the underside of desktop implements such as staplers to protect furniture from scratches.

Standard Grip

15 mil Solid Vinyl with embossed surface and adhesive backing.  Standard colors are black, white & clear.  Custom colors are available with minimum quantity requirements.  This product is commonly used in bathtub appliqués.

EZ Grip

15 mil Solid Vinyl with embossed surface and adhesive backing.  Available in black and colors.  Custom colors are available with minimum quantity requirements.  This product is commonly used in bathtub appliqués.

Rubber & Vinyl Matting

Many different styles of ribbed or textured matting are available for laminating, stripping and die cutting.  Please contact a salesperson for further information.  An adhesive backing can be applied for ease of assembly.

Open Cell Sponge

This black material exhibits excellent resiliency and anti-skid properties.  It is available 1/16” - 1” thick.  It is stocked with adhesive backing in 1/16" & 1/8" thick.

Neoprene 50 Durometer

Black solid rubber available with adhesive backing.  This material is available 1/16” - 2” thick.  Other durometers (hardnesses) are available.

Neoprene 85 Durometer Matte Finish

Black solid rubber available with adhesive backing.  The adhesive can be applied to the matte or the smooth side of the rubber.  This material is available 1/16” - 5/8” thick.

LoweSkid

Black high density urethane sponge with adhesive backing.  This product has a surface designed to provide a very high coefficient of friction.  Additionally, urethanes exhibit excellent abrasion resistance.  This material is available 1/64” - 1/8” thick.

3M™ Resilient Rollstock™

Black, brown or clear urethane with the best anti-slip surface for most applications.  This material is available in 2 densities: medium-firm or extra-firm.  High-performance protection, die cut to your specifications, 3M™ Resilient Rollstock™ is used on items such as laptop computers, calculators, electronic equipment and housewares.  It’s also a smart choice when you need to cushion a larger area.  The pressure-sensitive backing makes it easy to apply.  The available thicknesses range from 1/32” - 1/4”; not all thicknesses are available in all styles.

Additionally, 3M™ manufactures a wide range of adhesive backed traction control materials for indoor and outdoor use which are also available.
