Glazing Tape

Our new AAMA Approved Glazing Tape has excellent bonding capabilities with wood, aluminum, stainless steel and PVC window frames.  This tape is designed to block water, moisture, light, and dust.  It also has excellent resistance to UV, weathering, oxidation, and temperature variation and is supplied with a non-tear blue film liner.

Series GLZ 3500 is available in 1/16” and 1/8” thicknesses and Series GLZ 5500 is 1/32” thick.  Both series incorporate the new and improved adhesive system which provides greater initial tack along with an improved release liner for easy application.

3M™ VHB™ Window Tape

3M™ VHB™ Window Tape is a conformable double-coated pressure sensitive acrylic foam tape with a chemistry that has outstanding durability, UV resistance and temperature performance.  Unlike other foam types, the high strength acrylic foam is viscoelastic in nature which gives energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties that provides this tape with its unique characteristics.

Excellent adhesion to a broad range of high and medium surface energy substrates common in the Window & Door Industry including glass, metal, vinyl, composite materials and many paint formulations.

VHB™ Tape

3M™ VHB™ Tapes provide the convenience and simplicity of a tape fastener and are ideal for use in many interior and exterior bonding applications.  In many situations, they can replace rivets, spot welds, liquid adhesives and other permanent fasteners.

These 3M™ VHB™ Tapes are made with acrylic foam which is viscoelastic in nature.  This gives the foam energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties which provides these tapes with their unique characteristics.  The acrylic chemistry provides outstanding durability performance.  These tapes utilize a variety of specific foam, adhesive, color and release liner types to provide each product/family with specific features.  These features can include adhesion to specific or a broad range of materials, conformability, high tensile strength, high shear and peel adhesion, resistance to plasticizer migration, and UL746C recognition.  All 3M™ VHB™ Tapes have excellent durability and excellent solvent and moisture resistance.

Note: All 3M™ VHB™ Tapes should be thoroughly evaluated by the user under actual use conditions with intended substrates to determine whether a specific tape is fit for a particular purpose and suitable for user’s method of application, especially if expected use involves extreme environmental conditions.

3M™ VHB™ Tape can also be die cut to the smallest, most unusual shapes & sizes, and is listed as UL 746C, making it ideal for a wide range of electrical applications.

Mounting Tape
