There are two big elements that go into creating and selecting your glass separator pads.

First is the backing - removable adhesive or static backing?

Adhesive Is Best Used When:

Surface temperature is under 150° and/or
Surface material is acrylic, plastic, has a lacquered finish or any other surface where plasticizer migration might attack the finish.

Static Backing Is Best When:

Protecting glass at more elevated temperatures. These temperatures may be at their highest when coming off a tempering line or in storage or even during transport.

Second is the material selection, which can be cork, foam, NeoRebond, FLowe Magic Pads™ or Felt?

Cork (lighter density)

Available with static backing in 1/8”, 3/16”, 1/4” and 5/16” thicknesses which includes 1/16” static backing. Upon ordering we refer to this as “Glass Separator Cork”.
Available with removable adhesive in thickness from 1/32” to 1/4”. Upon ordering we refer to this as “Cork with Removable Adhesive”.

White Polyfoam (lighter density)

Available with a removable adhesive, our standard stock thicknesses are 1/4” and 1/2”.

NeoRebond (moderate density)

Available with a removable adhesive, our standard thicknesses are 1/8”, 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”.

Shipping Pads for Metal Finishing Products

FLowe Magic Pads™ (high density)

No adhesive on the pad so there is no chance for delaminating or adhesive residue left on the glass.
Provided in 5/32” Thick in bright red for easy visibility.

Felt (lighter density)

Available with our standard thickness of 1/16”, but custom thicknesses are available upon request.

Our felt is color coded:

Black Felt has a permanent adhesive. This felt pad is ideal for surface protection as well as for desktops.
Green felt is offered with removable adhesive. This felt pad is intended for use by the mirror industry as well as for lighter gauges of glass, such as picture frame glass.
