Case Study: Supplying Mario’s Metalcraft with the Ideal Protective Pad Solution

Mario's Metalcraft specializes in fabrication and sandblasting services that include:

  • Sand blasting
  • Polishing
  • Plating
  • Powder coating
  • CNC Plasma Cutting

Mario's Metalcraft has been partnering with Frank Lowe for the greater part of 13 years to provide solutions to their customers. Recently, we sat down with Melanie Heinemann of Mario's Metalcraft for a quick Q&A session to discuss their experience with Frank Lowe. Continue reading to learn more.

What Type of Product Does Mario's Metalcraft Create?

At Mario's Metalcraft, we primarily do powder coating as well as other metal refinishing. Our powder coating is a dry finishing process utilized as a decorative and functional finish, which often results in improved efficiencies, maximized production, and simplified environmental compliance.

Powder coated products offer improved resistance to impact, chemicals, moisture, UV light as well as other extreme weather conditions. This reduces the risk of chipping, scratches, abrasions, fading, corrosion, and other wear issues. We offer powder coatings in a virtually limitless range of textures and coatings.

How Has Frank Lowe Helped Mario's Metalcraft Meet the Needs of Your Customers?

Frank Lowe provides fully-customized NeoRebond Packaging Pads. NeoRebond is a moderate density product offered in stock thicknesses of:

  1. ⅛ of an inch
  2. ¼ of an inch
  3. ⅜ of an inch
  4. ½ of an inch

This material comes with a removable adhesive and serves as a cost effective separator pad. Mario's Metalcraft uses the NeoRebond pads to stack powder-coated material without damaging it for short-term periods before the customer picks them up. Frank Lowe's NeoRebond Pads allow products to be effectively stacked in an efficient, space-saving manner for transportation by the installers or fabricators without damage.

How Often Do You Order NeoRebond Squares from Frank Lowe?

Even though we only order NeoRebond pads from Frank Lowe twice a year, we always feel like we are one of their most valued clients. Instead of having to deal with a new person every time, we are designated a single point of contact. Typically, I speak to Cindy or Ruth, and I appreciate the fact they know our business and understand our needs.

How Did You Collaborate with Frank Lowe to Find the Best-Cost Option?

Because there are other possible alternative solutions, we were looking for the most efficient and cost-efficient solution. Frank Lowe guided us toward the NeoRebond Pads and continually provide reasonable and fair pricing.

How Is Frank Lowe's Customer Service?

As I previously mentioned, I work through our point of contact to place orders. They are always very pleasant and accommodating. Whenever I place an order, I especially appreciate their accurate and upfront lead times. Then they keep me informed throughout the order via email with timely updates.

Will You Continue Working with Frank Lowe as Your Business Grows?

I definitely intend on continuing this relationship. They have taken the time to get to know our business, and I look forward to them continuing to provide solutions to help us grow while improving processes.
